Announcing something new for Mothers and Daughters! We are introducing a program entitled, You are Beautiful in God's Eyes.

1) Saturday, January 23rd from 11-12:30 we will host a Mother/Daughter brunch and tea. There is NO upper limit on age, but daughters must be at least 5 years old to participate. You may register for the tea after church Sunday 1/10 and 1/17. The tea is the first event in a series of events which will help us view ourselves as precious in God’s eyes and worthy of dressing, speaking and acting in ways that honor Him. This event if FREE. Register now for events you are interested in attending.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL OF THE EVENTS IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE TEA, OR THE SLEEPOVER ON MARCH 5TH, BUT WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO READ ON AND MARK YOUR CALENDARS. The goal of the program is to strengthen the bond between mother and daughter at a critical time in a young girl’s life AND share the wonderful truth of God’s love for us as His daughters.
2) Events that will follow: A series of group activities for moms and daughters will be held at TPC on Thursday nights from January 28th through February 25th, using study and activity materials from the book, The Power of True Beauty and Modesty: 8 Great Dates for You and Your Daughter by Dannah Gresh. This study seeks to help young girls (ages 8-12 years) develop a positive self image based on what God says in the Bible. There are tangible instructions and fun activities at each session. The topics include our clothing choices, how we take care of ourselves and how we treat others. And how all of OUR choices effect others. Thursday night activities will begin at 6:15 and last until 7:30.
3) Saturday, February 20th, we will travel to Raleigh Christian Community Church for the Secret Keeper Girl Tour from 6-9 pm. Here’s a teaser for the Secret Keeper Girls’ event: Imagine moms and their daughters giggling and having fun while digging deep into God's truth to talk about modesty. Think fashion show, pep rally and rock concert all rolled into one. Want to know more? Check out the secretkeepergirl website. For those who are wondering, the secret is that we treasure our purity and modesty as God’s daughters.
4) Lock-in for moms and daughters, Friday March 5th: A Moms and daughters’ sleepover and fashion show, with movies, munchies and more.
Registration and cost: The tea is free!!! The Moms and Daughters’ Series is $25 and includes book, a daughter’s journal, CD, AND tickets to the Secret Keeper Girls’ Tour.
