Christians Helping Aging People (CHAPs)
Purpose
We provide support and information for anyone touched by the aging process - whether you are an older adult yourself, a caregiver of an aging parent or loved one, or want to assist with the needs of older adults in our church and our community.
This ministry is offered by Christians, young and old, who want to assist with the needs of older adults in the family, our church and our community. If you are interested in learning more about CHAPs history click here.
Membership
CHAPs does not have a membership per se, but has a core group of about 20 who meet monthly with others participating as their needs dictate. CHAPs welcomes anyone who is dealing with an aging parent, needs information about resources available in the community, or is interested in helping older adults in the congregation. A Steering Committee plans programming.
Meetings
CHAPs currently meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the church. During summer months (June, July, August), informal meetings are held in homes of members for fellowship and support.
