Sundays at 10am between worship services we offer a variety of adult classes for any one to participate in. We study the Bible, have times of fellowship, and seek to learn more about God and how to live as disciples of Jesus Christ. Class topics change regularly, but we have several ongoing groups that meet each week.

Sunday Morning Classes

Bible Study Class:  Free to Run the Race

Facilitator: Richard Rosenberger

Location: Fellowship Hall A

This class will be based on the book by the same name by Gary Ventimiglia, “a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a psychoanalyst in private practice in Van Nuys, California.  The class will explore what it means to shed those things from our past that weigh us down and keep us from “running the race marked for us.”

Fellowship Class:  Understanding & Applying the Bible

Facilitator: Jeannie Phelps; Location: Fellowship Hall B

We grow in relationship with God as we see him in a variety of situations.  This study will help us to learn how to get the most out of reading and studying the Bible with the goal of getting to know God better.

Homebuilders:  Gracious Debates:  Bridging our Political & Social Divides

Facilitators:  Harry Albert, Garry Crites, Sherene Min;

Location: Room 100

In this world of divisive politics, we as Christians are called to rise above the rancorous discussions that occur in all facets of society and debate the hot topics of the day in a way consistent with Biblical principles.  Using the early church in Acts as a model of unity in the body in the face of disagreement, we will learn how to debate like Christians by discussing hard questions of our day.  The focus of this study is not to determine the “right” answers on these issues but rather to be a witness to the larger culture that is paralyzed by partisanship and discord and maintain unity in the face of faithful disagreement.

SALT—Single Adults in the Lord Together:  Psalm 119

Facilitator: Donna Frank; Location: 101

Even the most mature believers face dark nights of the soul. During those times, God feels distant, His Word dry, and the vibrant intimacy we knew before seems absent leaving us wondering, “Where is the Lord in this?” In Psalm 119, Pastor Matt Chandler aims to introduce viewers to the words of King David who experienced similar seasons of life. Psalm 119 demonstrates the power of God’s Word in the lives of believers and its ability to provide a warm blanket for the soul.
